Since becoming Executive Director of the Foundation, I have had the opportunity to visit and meet a number of people in Quebec’s Aboriginal communities. I have witnessed many very touching acts of solidarity and generosity. So many people express their attachment to our mission and I am deeply touched by it.
After particularly difficult years for the Foundation, with this unprecedented crisis that has led to the cancellation of several of our fundraising activities and consequently threatened the survival of our mission, I want to extend my deep appreciation to all those who have supported us since 2020. Today, I want to express my gratitude to those who gave us the strength to weather this storm. Our partners, Indigenous Services Canada (ISC), in conjunction with the regional and national team, the First Nations and Inuit Relations Secretariat and the Department of Health and Social Services told us, “We’re here for you! you can count on us! We believe in you! Don’t give up!“
